About This Tour

Freedom Island Retreat has an area of more than 250,000 m2, mainly primeval forest with natural beaches, mountain sceneries, and majestic cliffs from thousands of years ago. The most marvelous spot would be the area of Ghenh Tu Do, surrounded by vast cliffs hundreds of meters high, which we specially selected as a place for our trekking (climbing) discovery program.

Here, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the beauty of Lan Ha Bay, and Cat Ba from above and save yourself the most beautiful pictures and unique shooting angles. The accommodation is situated on the island’s largest and most beautiful natural beach, owning an area of more than 30,000 square meters.

There are Bungalows & Homestay rooms with capacities of up to 100 guests that are uniquely designed with a sea view, stretching along the beach, giving guests a refreshing open space, enjoying the fresh air of the sea and beautiful scenes.

The Bar is set up outside next to the beach, providing you with a romantic scene in which to unwind, unplug, as well as enjoy the finest cocktails, together with melodious music, listen to the sound of the wind and waves, and experience the alluring ocean taste.

With the advantage of fresh local seafood in Cat Ba, our chef will bring you dishes that can awaken your taste buds which are meticulously and delicately prepared.

Especially the barbecue party will be served in the outdoor beach space, giving guests an unforgettable dining experience.

HANOI – FREEDOM ISLAND

8:00 – 8:30: (Pick up) You will be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter for the transfer to Tran Chau Harbor by the new highway Hanoi – Hai Phong – Got Port.

11:15 – 11:30: (Arrive at Tran Chau Harbor, Cat Ba, Hai Phong) The staff will pick you up at Tran Chau Harbor, Cat Ba, then transfer you to Freedom Island. Please be at the meeting point before 11:30 if you are already in Hai Phong.

12:00 – 12:30. (Arrival) Upon arrival, you will receive a warm greeting from the Freedom Island staff. While listening to the short briefing about our activity schedule and safety regulations on the island, feel free to enjoy your tasty welcome drink.

12:45 – 13:45. (Lunch Time) It’s time for the very first meal on Freedom Island. Our chef will deliver you all of the fresh local seafood dishes in Cat Ba which are not only tasty but also artistic

13:45 – 14:00. (Check in to your room) After lunch, you will get the room key and check in to your room with assistance from our friendly staff.

14.00 – 15:30. (Leisure time) You have around 1.5 hours to enjoy all the beautiful things that Freedom Island offer: Tasting a delicious drink at the outdoor bar, lying at the beach for the ocean’s fresh air and listening to the sound of waves, or enjoying the indoor recreational services with Billiards, Table tennis, and Beach Volleyball. Should all the outdoor activities not attract you at the time, staying in your room is also ideal.

15:30: (Mountain climbing) For people who love climbing mountain activities, Ghenh Tu Do is a MUST TRY! Are you ready for this adventure?

Meet our staff in the lobby and they will take you to participate in our trekking program (Mountain climbing) to discover Ghenh Tu Do, which has the most beautiful and majestic sea view on the Island. You will have the opportunity to save yourself emotional experiences, and take beautiful selfie pictures. The trekking time is from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Note: Please bring sports shoes or climbing shoes, and mosquito spray.
After trekking, guests return to the main area of the Island. During this time, you can participate in exciting programs such as swimming, kayaking, and beach volleyball.

17:30 – 18:30: (A dream Sunset Party ) Do not miss your chance to enjoy your favorite beverages and fresh fruit during the Sunset Party. This is the time for you to feel the love in a romantic space with music and admire the poetic scenery of the sunset slowly falling with friends and loved ones while sipping on your favorite drinks delicately prepared by our Bar staff. Some said that this is one of the most beautiful times of the day in terms of space, time, and emotions, and will leave you with an unforgettable impression!

19:15 – 20:30: (Dinner) You will enjoy a wonderful dinner at the outdoor beach area under the shimmering lights and listen to the sound of the wind, the sea waves, and the romantic melody of the sea.

21:00 – 23:00: (Happy Hour & Movie Shows, Billiards, Table Tennis, Fire Camp…)This is the golden hour of the evening of your tour. Don’t miss out on your favorite drinks during this period, our program will allow you to buy 02 drinks and get 01 for free. In the atmosphere where everyone enjoys a good drink, you can experience fleeting flashes of immersion in a lively cinema set with an outdoor experience if the weather permits.
Besides, you can also stay at the outdoor bar to listen to music, relax, chat with your friends, or take a walk by the beach to feel the tranquility, and the cool taste of the sea breeze, listen to the sound of waves, or just simply play billiards, table tennis and have fun!

23:00. (Overnight on the Island) Guests stay overnight on the island, regaining energy for the next day.

FREEDOM ISLAND

05:30 – 06:00. (Welcoming Dawn On the Island) Wake up early to fully enjoy the beautiful sunrise and the fresh morning air on the Island (Optional).

07:00 – 10:00. (Brunch Buffet) Guests will have a combination of breakfast & lunch buffet at the restaurant. Our Chef will prepare a delicious meal for you, ensuring energy for the return journey.

10:00 – 12:00. Leisure time

12:45 – 13:45: Enjoy lunch

15:30 – 17:00: (Visit Thung Cave) You’re about to indulge in another fascinating activity. Our boat will take you to the cave entrance after about 10 minutes from our Freedom Island Retreat. After disembarking, you’ll have a short hike to reach the top. On the way up, you will see a lot of stalagmite and stalactite, which create the cave’s beauty. Here you can breathe absolutely fresh air and get great photos when you reach the top of the cave. After this will be the time to get back on the boat and back to our Freedom Island.
Note: The activity is only available when the tide permits otherwise you can not get inside the cave

19:15 – 20h30: Dinner time

21:00 – 23:00: Happy hours, bida,…

15:30. (Tour Ends) Our Freedom Island Journey ends in Hanoi

IMPORTANT NOTES:

The location of the island is near the sea, and there can be big waves and strong winds depending on the weather, so please follow the regulations, and instructions of the staff and management on the island to ensure your safety.
For those who make their own way to Tran Chau, please be at Tran Chau Harbor before 11:30 AM.
Please inform us about your special diet, and personal information including full name, gender, year of birth, and the province of permanent residence at least 1 day before the departure date. If you travel with a child, please provide a photo of the birth certificate.
Elderly guests with cardiovascular diseases are recommended to consider carefully before participating in the trekking/climbing program. Young children should have parents to accompany them and take close care.
Bring swimwear, sports shoes, climbing shoes, and anti-mosquito spray if you want to swim, or trek in the mountains.
Bring camera equipment to save the beautiful images only available on the Island.
Do not bring outside drinks to the Island.
The island is located quite close to the center of Cat Ba, so 3G and 4G internet are very good, and convenient for you to access the network.
