Hey there, have you heard about the amazing pedestrian glass bridge called Bach Long (White Dragon)? It’s set to open on April 30 in Muong Sang Commune, Moc Chau District, Son La Province and it’s going to be a spectacle to behold! According to VOV, this bridge is expected to be the longest in the world, with a total length of 632m.
The Bach Long Glass Bridge is truly a marvel of engineering, built across two mountains and spanning a craggy part on the cliff that’s 342m long. Its main bridge deck is 2.4m wide, while the glass road on the cliff is 1.5m wide. This bridge leads to Chim Than Cave (or God Bird Cave) which has natural stalactites associated with the legend of the god bird, as told by local residents for hundreds of years.
What’s more, the bridge has two 30m-high towers and is made using Korean bearing cables. The bridge deck itself is made of super tempered glass called Saint Gobain from France, consisting of three layers of thick glass. With a height of 150m from the ground, this bridge is definitely not for the faint-hearted!
Don’t worry though, the safety of visitors is of utmost importance. Mr. Hoang Manh Duy, a representative of Moc Chau Island, has assured everyone that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure that visitors can enjoy this bridge safely. So, mark your calendars and get ready for an adventure of a lifetime!
